Black Springs Golf Course is a family owned and operated business. The course is built on approx 65 acres of land purchased in 1997 and main construction of the course began in early 1999.

The course opened to the public in October 1999. At that time some of the fairways were still not fully covered, so square patches of turf were used and tee up on fairways was allowed.

A picturesque 9 hole course built around natural gums and water. Located 6.5km south of Mackay's Tourist information centre ( off the Bruce Highway in Callaway Court   Bakers Creek)
The licensed clubhouse is a great way to start and finish your round of golf.  Visitors are most welcome.

We are playing the Tri Nations Challenge today. This is the 6th year that 2 New Zealanders ( Stuie McMillan , John Bellette ) 2 Australians ( Bob and Wayne Stafford ) and 2 South Africans ( Harvey and Ashley Nattrass ) go head to head for the Tri Nations Trophy. New Zealand and South Africa have both had 2 wins and Australia has had 1. So we need to even it up. The rest of the field will play a normal single stableford. The team photo is from last years team, in which Bruce Newport represented NZ.
