Around 2126 hours station 6-1 and 17-1 (Paulsboro) were dispatched to 295 southbound in the area of exit 21 for a MVC. 613 signed on and initial reports indicated a minor crash with one female to be checked out by EMS. 613 arrived on location first and the NJSP and WDPD had the highway southbound shut down completely for cars in the left shoulder and center lanes. Crews were unable to gain access to the patient via the drivers door and began work on a door pop. 613 gained access in under 5 minutes of arrival. The patient was turned over to BLS 18 and transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden. Her condition is unknown at this time. 614 and 1711 arrived and created blocking positions for the accident scene and assisted with the large debris field on the highway. Crews were on scene for approximately 45 minutes.

At 23:39 on June 15, 2016 Station 6-1 was alerted to 709 Billings Ave in Paulsboro for a reported dwelling fire. As Engine 614 was responding, 1701 arrived and confirmed a working fire. E-614 arrived third due and the crew went to work placing ground ladders. Upon completion of ground ladder placement, the crew was ordered to make entry through division A and make access to the second floor. Heavy fire was found in a rear bedroom and knocked down. Due to the heavy fire load and construction of the house, the dwelling was evacuated and exterior operations began. Station 6-1 crews were released from the fire ground just before 0300. On a side note, this was the first interior fire for three of our new firefighters, FF Hutchinson, FF McGlinn-Palo, and FF Elboghdady. 11 members responded to the call.
