GTJ’s Job of the Week: This week’s job of the week winner was a hot water boiler heat winterization completed in the Lansing, MI market. The GTJ Team has completed tens of thousands of winterizations over the last 15 years but this property presented a unique challenge. This property has a well water supply system with a “combi-boiler” heating system (tankless boiler and water heater combo). The combi-boiler system is an uncommon and complex system that requires extensive knowledge and experience to properly navigate. Fortunately, one of GTJ’s veteran Initial Service Technicians, Mike LaMere, was up to the challenge. Mike was able to properly isolate the boiler heat from the domestic water system and complete a full winterization on the domestic system. As you can see in these photos, the work was completed professionally and with extensive documentation for the next service tech/inspector/homeowner. Winterizations are arguably the most important service GTJ provides and this is another great example of the GTJ Team tackling a complicated situation and protecting our clients assets. Great job Mike and the GTJ Team!

GTJ’s Job of the Week: This week’s job comes from GTJ’s Environmental Department and was a mold remediation at an occupied Oakland County property. This project required extra special care as the homeowner was 8+ months pregnant! The GTJ crew took all necessary precautions to ensure there would be no cross contamination into the home from the work area in the basement. The GTJ crew made up of Garry Adams & Levi Jackson installed full containment and were able to remove all damages and complete the necessary treatment of the affected areas. The project was completed within 24 hours of the approval and the clients were appreciative for the prompt and high quality of service provided by GTJ. More importantly, the clients are very grateful to have a mold free home to welcome their newborn child. Job well done to Garry and Levi and best wishes to the expecting family!

GTJ's Job of the Week: Fall is historically GTJ’s busiest time of the year with the start of the Winterization Season. Properly winterizing vacant properties is essential to preserving and maintaining the property. We have seen far too many disastrous situations over the years with incomplete or improper winterization services. GTJ has an unmatched reputation for high quality winterization services. For this week’s Job of the Week, we are highlighting a quality winterization with some emergency plumbing repairs. In this example, GTJ Initial Service Technician Jason MacGregor attempted to winterize the property and found damaged plumbing resulting in a failed pressure test and an incomplete winterization. Jason was able to troubleshoot the leaks, make several emergency plumbing repairs and get the system to hold pressure. Jason was then able to complete a full winterization to protect the property for the harsh winter months. In addition to high quality service, Jason did an excellent job documenting the services which is critical for our clients. The client was thrilled with the work and the documentation. Thank you to Jason for his hard work and diligence on this challenging property. JOB WELL DONE!

GTJ’s Job of the Week: GTJ was contacted by a local University to assist with discoloration issues on the chairs of their auditorium. The University had used GTJ’s services in the past and knew that we could handle this large project in a very tight timeframe – just two days before school started! The GTJ Team, comprised of Blake Pennington and Darrell Anderson, was able to complete this daunting task in within the tight timelines and produce extraordinary results. Our Team steam cleaned each of the 300+ chairs in the auditorium as well as the carpet runners for a near brand new appearance when completed. The University was beyond excited with the results as you can see from the before and after photos, and they were very thankful we were able to complete it before the start of the school year. Great job Team!
