On January 27 at 2:00 pm, Oregon's hiking guru will give a tour of new trails he discovered while researching the new fourth edition of his book, 100 Hikes/Travel Guide: Southern Oregon & Northern California. Sullivan’s latest novel, “The Case of the Reborn Bhagwan” is a murder mystery about the fictional revival of one of Oregon’s most controversial utopian movements and his talk will also give an illustrated tour of the utopian and religious cult movements that have spread in Oregon in the past two centuries. #SpringfieldCelebratesAuthors

William Sullivan: New Hikes in Southern Oregon & Rajneeshees Murder Mystery Springfield Celebrates Authors: Author Talk and Book Signing Series FREE January Event Join us for the January Springfield Celebrates Authors event featuring William Sullivan on January 27 at 2:00 pm. Oregon's hiking guru will give a tour of new trails he discovered while researching the new fourth edition of his book, 100 Hikes/Travel Guide: Southern Oregon & Northern California. Sullivan’s latest novel, “The Case of the Reborn Bhagwan” is a murder mystery about the fictional revival of one of Oregon’s most controversial utopian movements and his talk will also give an illustrated tour of the utopian and religious cult movements that have spread in Oregon in the past two centuries. Sullivan is the author of 19 books about Oregon, including two books on Oregon history and five novels. New in 2016 is a murder mystery about the Rajneeshees, The Case of the Reborn Bhagwan. His journal of a 1000-mile hike across Oregon, Listening for Coyote, was chosen by the Oregon Cultural Heritage Commission as one of Oregon’s “100 Books.” He also writes an outdoor column for the Eugene Register-Guard and the Salem Statesman-Journal. Springfield Celebrates Authors is a free monthly author talk and book signing at the Springfield Public Library. Each month from December 2017 through April 2018, the library will highlight a new author. This program is brought to you by the Springfield Library Foundation.
