Palm Sunday | The next day the huge crowd that had arrived for the Feast heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem. They broke off palm branches and went out to meet him. And they cheered: Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God’s name! Yes! The King of Israel! Jesus got a young donkey and rode it, just as the Scripture has it: No fear, Daughter Zion: See how your king comes, riding a donkey’s colt. | John‬ ‭12:12-14 MSG #gatewaypeople

Am I good soil? | As an anchor for plant roots and as a water-holding tank for needed moisture, soil provides a hospitable place for a plant to take root. An important function of soil is to store and supply nutrients to plants. The ability to perform this function is referred to as soil fertility. | What kind of soil are you during this current season of your life? What kind of environment do you create for the people around you? Do you feed and water your co-workers, children, or family members? Or are you dry, feeling like you're pouring from an empty well? Life isn't perfect. We are not perfect. Nothing, but Jesus, is perfect. But as Christians, it is part of our job to grow and be healthy, while equipping others to grow and be healthy. It's important for us to look at how we steward others around us in the midst of joy and happy times but also in situations of conflict. Because guess what? The hard stuff is there, so why pretend it isn't? We see all kinds of pretty pictures and things happening in people's lives on the surface - like the leaves of this plant. But there is work being completed in that soil that allows those leaves to grow. So, let's ask ourselves this morning, "Am I good soil?" Honestly, sometimes none of us are. But the good news is, we can be better. Jesus, we ask that you water our lives with your presence so we can be good soil! We can't do this without You. #gatewaypeople #water
