Due to inclement weather, all services and activities are cancelled for Sunday, January 8. As you observe your Sabbath rest, remember - we're in the season of Epiphany. An epiphany is a revelation. During Epiphany, we recall how Jesus was revealed to the wise men as the Savior of all people (Matt.2:1-11). At his baptism, Jesus is revealed as the Son of God (Matt.3:13-17), and in John's Gospel, at the wedding at Cana (John 2:1-12), when he turns water into wine, Jesus is revealed as one who can change and transform us. Perhaps you might find a time to read and reflect on these texts. As you pray, remember those who seek shelter from the cold, clothing for warmth, and food to sustain themselves. Pray that Christ might give you an "epiphany" of how you might reach out to those who are cold, homeless, lonely, or hungry.
