Dear Language Academy Families, It appears that a conflict in fundraising has occurred between fundraisers for the American Heart Association, Jump-Rope-for-Heart, and PTSA's Read-A-Thon. The intent of the Jump-Rope-for-Heart assembly was meant to bring awareness to heart associated illnesses, the fundraising portion of the event was not meant to be promoted. We are by no means not supporting the American Heart Association and its message. However, money raised does not directly come to our school. Instead what we want to do is support the fundraising being promoted by our PTSA, the Read-A-Thon. Our goal is to raise $2,000 or more to be able to continue enrichment programs for students. Thanks for your support and my apologies for the confusion. Mr. Villareal
