Our Fellowship Hall was full of life and courage last night as Republic Relay for Life celebrated those who have battled cancer and those who are still deep in the trenches, fighting for their lives. It is humbling to be amongst so many courageous people. This is why are Church's own Relay team does what we do, so that someday no one has to hear the words, "You have cancer."

Good Friday, April 14th 2017 found members of First Christian Church of Republic donating time, “Doing Good,” in the Republic School System. The team was preparing and planting flower beds, mulching trees and making fun game packets for the elementary aged students to learn mathematical concepts. After a short devotion, delivered by Outreach chair Sara Fugitt, on Jesus’ command to ‘love each other’ from John 15:12-17, the morning was spent sharing that love while working in the community.

Each month, our Outreach Committee is focusing on serving the needs of one of the organizations we support. For February, our local Republic Pregnancy Resource Center is in the spotlight. This Agency is in the process of saving beautiful babies and giving their Momma’s hope when they feel they have none. You can play a very big role…they need people to answer the phones; to fold newsletters; to be mentors to the girls; to donate financially and give the items needed to care for these babies. They have served over 880 clients locally since opening their doors in 2006. Let’s show them RFCC cares and cares big!!! You can contact Sara Fugitt, Committee Chair or see in detail the display at the back of the church. Blessings as you seek to serve.
