Last night, Chris was able to deliver a check to the Spanapark Lions from the proceeds of the Pierce County Toy and Geek Festival. The money will go towards their Eyesight and Hearing Aid Program and their back to school Adopt-a-Family program. From the great attendance and the efforts from Garrison Titan and the The 501st Legion, we were able to support their efforts with $1,688 this year. Thank you for supporting our show. We had so much fun with our first GeekFest that we just might have to do this again...

Will there be things for kids to do at this show? If being in the presence of tens of thousands of toys isn't enough, yes we have plenty of additional things for kids to enjoy. Meet a Stormtrooper, Jawas, a Sith Lord and other favorite characters walking around the show. Kids can hone their lightsaber skills in our Jedi training tent. Ainsley/Rey tested out her moves in the tent today and is pictured below. We provide the foam sabers to battle each other. Build something at the brick table or color and create in the kids crafts and activity tent too. Dress up and win at the costume contest. Stay tuned for a post tomorrow will more details and categories. Scones! We will have scones at the show! And toys... plenty of toys that will make all kids, big and small, giddy like Christmas Eve. Tag a friend and make it a fun play date. This Saturday (August 12th) at the Washington State Fair - Red Gate from 10am to 5pm. Tickets and more information is available at: www.pctgf.com

Great news. Two weeks ago, we sold out all 37 vendor spaces. Each day, our waiting list kept growing and growing to over 30 vendors. Today, we received the approval to extend the show outside to the courtyard in front of the building. Now the show is able to nearly double in size. We have plenty of exciting and great news to come, but we plan to slow playing the news throughout the next few days. Get your tickets today for an awesome first-year event on August 12th. www.pctgf.com
