How do muscles grow? From just lifting random weight or is there a strategy to it? For a beginner.. just getting into the gym and following any sort of program will get you headed in the right direction. For someone who's been at it for a year or two, may need to tighten up the programming slightly. The body responds to more volume over time. Meaning you need to be doing more reps or more weight consistently to keep improving. •Last week I hit 3 sets of 8 reps with 25 lbs on pull ups. •This week I hit 2 sets of 9 and 1 set of 8. •Next week will hopefully be 3 full sets of 9. Small consistent improvements over a long period of time will yield the best results.

SQUAT FORM • ❌ Descending with a forward lean causing you to come back up pushing through the toes and knees. (causes knee pain over time) • ✅ Sitting back as you descend through the movement allowing the body to keep the weight on the heels of the foot, and minimizing the load on the knees as you push back up through the movement.

Which is better? Lifting weight in high reps or low reps? Whatever your goals may be, utilizing different rep ranges throughout a weight lifting regimen will yield the best results. Example: Week 1: 3 sets of 10-12 reps (lighter weight) Week 2: 3 sets of 6-8 reps (fairly heavy) Week 3: 4 sets of 3-5 reps (heavy) Been thinking about going to the gym but not sure what to do once you're there?
