On the Friday before last the Museum of Clean was visited by students from Marsing High School...from...wait for it...Marsing, Idaho. They were in town for an Academic Decathlon and utilized their high IQ's to come to the coolest place in Pocatello and add some knowledge of aspects of clean to their brains. Don stood in among them and they all gleaned some insight from the world's smartest janitor.

Last Tuesday and Wednesday, 1st graders from Green Acres Elementary School from Pocatello came to the Museum of Clean to see what they get for not making their beds (among other things)....and of course received the "Award of the Toilet"....they all promised to make their beds from now on. They learned a lot about all the values of clean and WIlbur even sang them part of their song he made up...."Green Acres is the school for me....good learning will set me free..." yeah, it's a work in progress. See you next year Green Acrerites!

3rd Graders from Edahow Elementary School in Pocatello, Idaho visited the Museum of Clean last Wednesday. They brought their clipboards and a writing implement and took notes on their tour to generate a report, which they promised Don they would send to us. Inexplicably, they did not know that other schools in town call them Eatacow Elementary, but Wilbur (our dentist patient mascot / ventriloquist dummy) let the cat out of the bag. Thanks for coming and for being a great group!

Last Friday The Museum of Clean hosted a visit by Montana's Helena High School Mock Trial Club who was in town for a mock trial competition and they wanted to weigh the merits of clean versus grime. The evidence was overwhelmingly in favor of cleanliness with grime not having a clean leg to stand on and was indeed found to be in contempt. Clean wins yet again and sets another precedent.

Thursday The Museum of Clean was once again visited by Leadership Pocatello from the Pocatello Chamber of Commerce. They come once a year, every year, because they just can't get enough of clean coolness. The group was a little lethargic at first, having just come from eating a Mammoth for lunch, or a mammoth lunch, one or the other. So at first they were not laughing as much as they should have at Brad's jokes due to the digestive process, but they soon figured out laughing actually helped the digestive process and did in the end prove just how intelligent they were by laughing at Brad's jokes. The group also promised to provide Pocatello with some leadership in the value of clean by cleaning their respective garages, making their respective beds, and brushing their respective teeth, just to name a few respective clean things they are going to do regularly. See you next year, and save some Mammoth for us next time.

Last Saturday The Museum of Clean was visited by the BYU Ballroom Dance Touring Company, 76 feet in all. They told us they even have a couple of dances in their routine that feature cleaning, including one that a broom is their partner. A really fun group to take our tour indeed, they even wanted a photo with Brad, despite the fact he has three left feet.

The Museum of Clean's Founder, Don Aslett (maybe you have heard of him) just published another book, his 41st, titled Sign Your Own Paycheck. As a seasoned entrepreneur, Don's new book asks the question "Is the entrepreneurial life for you?". Don's hands on experience with having owned and ran 15 business has convinced him that success in business requires "More Heart than How To". Don's book is invaluable for those who are thinking about becoming a business owner, big or small, and is full of invaluable lessons that can be applied for budding entrepreneurs and seasoned business owners as well. By the way Don is working on at least 3 more new books to be coming out soon. Don's new book is for sale at The Museum of Clean's gift store and Don would be happy to sign his book for you......signing your own paycheck is up to you.

You may have thought Don Aslett was famous before, but now Don has rightly joined the ranks of famous Greeks, Romans, Emperors, Kings, Presidents, Heroes, and guys named Elvis. You know you are a cool person when someone makes a life size bronze statue of you, which pretty much preserves you for posterity. As a tribute to his brother, Larry Aslett commissioned Pocatello artist Malynda Cooper to create a fitting and enduring work of art to commemorate Don's legacy of service and inspiration in Don's pursuit of the value of clean. Larry's vision is to have Don standing next to a park bench with the inscription " I cleaned this just for you", which will eventually come to fruition. Malynda Cooper is a very well known and respected artist and teacher and The Museum of Clean is proud to have 3 other pieces of her work on permanent display as well. Come by The Museum of Clean and stand next to Don, either the real one or the bronze one, both are included in your tour. Please leave the pigeons at home.
