Conquer Childhood Cancer
www.Coast2CoastFTK.com                        Coast 2 Coast FTK is non-profit organization supporting the fight against pediatric cancer on a national scale. My name is Norman Horn, organizer of this mission. I’m a Penn State Alumni on a quest to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer.  My mission and the purpose of this organization is to hike across the country from San Francisco, CA to the Jersey Shore, with the hope to inspire meaningful action because cancer is the number one disease-killer of children in the United States; more than asthma, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and pediatric AIDS combined.  In the past 30 years, only one new cancer drug has been approved for pediatric cancer.  All proceeds collected along my journey will be donated to the Four Diamond Fund at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Along the journey, I will be visiting a series of Medical Centers and Children's hospitals to spread awareness.  Each dollar raised could save the life of a child.
Four Diamonds supports world-class pediatric cancer research as well as innovative experimental therapeutic programs at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. As a US News Nationally Ranked Best Hospital in Pediatric Cancer, PSHCH is making strides towards a cure.  Four Diamonds also provides financial support to families battling pediatric cancer at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center through a variety of ways, such as assisting with medical costs and paying for additional medical staff in pediatric oncology.Just this year, over 15,000 Penn State students raised over $13 Million for the kids, increasing the aggregate total to over $113 Million donated to the Four Diamonds Fund since its inception.

April of 2014 is going to be the start of the very first event organized by Coast 2 Coast FTK.  Every day, during the 7 months its going to take me to hike from west to east, I’m going to be compiling pictures, videos, and a journal documenting all of the people, towns, cities, hospitals, and support centers that I come across. I’m encouraging the public to sign up through my website to virtually walk with me.  Collectively we will be counting our steps ‘towards a cure.’ Every person I meet and every hospital I visit is going to learn about the efforts of Coast 2 Coast FTK and the impact of the Four Diamonds over the years.  At the completion of the trip in October of 2014, I will be arriving on the east coast in Atlantic City, NJ, where we will hold a celebration commemorating the completion of the journey.  For The Kids!!!
