Spots are still open for the R.A.D. Self Defense program starting this weekend! The three-session program will be held on Saturdays May 13th, 20th, and 27th and is open to women and girls age 16+ (those under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian). Cost due at registration is $10. Stop by the library to sign up!

Everyone is welcome, and books will be available to purchase. This event is sponsored by Pembroke Titans Against Drugs.

The library is open tomorrow for the last Sunday of the season, 12-4. Sunday hours will return in October. Meanwhile, regular hours are 9:30am -8pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:30am -5pm, Friday and Saturday.

Young patrons built cabins of cardboard this week after learning about Henry David Thoreau's famous cabin on Walden pond. These creations were a bit more modern with towers, green houses, and even a pneumatic tube system. Thank you to all who visited!
