WEATHER ALERT: August 29 at 12:00 p.m. - College officials are closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian. Classes are scheduled to be in session for all SJR State campuses until further notice. Should a change in the weather impact College operations, alerts will be provided through the College website, email, text alerts and Facebook. SJR State will schedule an update for Friday at 1:00 p.m. SJR State strongly encourages students and employees to sign up for emergency notifications. This is a free service provided by the College that is only used for emergency notifications. To receive emergency notifications, log into the MySJRSTATE portal and click on the link “Register for Emergency Notifications” located under the “Emergency Procedures and Security Contact Information” and follow the instructions. Plan ahead! For your safety, preparations should begin before notice of any closures. Take this time to review your personal plans at home.

Congratulations to our nursing graduates! A pinning ceremony was held to recognize students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate in Science in Nursing (ASN), and Practical Nursing (PN) programs. The pinning ceremony, which is a continued tradition of Florence Nightingale’s extended honor to her most outstanding nurses, symbolizes the rite of passage into the nursing profession and the care and devotion nurses provide.
