The Oak Lawn Public Library is a rich learning environment that engages and strengthens the community through diverse collections, programs and services. The Oak Lawn Public Library is located in the heart of the Village at 95th and Raymond Avenue. City Hall and the new Oak Lawn Bank & Trust are adjacent to the west and the Village Green is directly north of the Library. Together, these destinations make a vibrant and attractive city center.

Library Trustees and staff members strive to help community members meet their goals and aspirations. The Library is currently developing a new brand and identity, as well as a new Strategic Plan with updated mission and vision statements and spatial changes - including an improved Youth Services Department, additional group study rooms, and an enhanced computer center with business-friendly technology. Local History will move to an open area, allowing visitors access to the room any time the Library is open; and the young adult area will relocate to the second floor so teens can enjoy a home of their own.

It is an exciting time for libraries as patrons are asking for services that were never offered in the past. From wireless Internet access, to computer classes, to meeting spaces, to 3D printers, the Library continues to expand offerings to try to keep ahead of community needs.
