Stephens Memorial Hospital’s Food and Nutrition Services Department has been partnering with We Compost It! since February 2016 to keep waste out of the Community landfill. Food Service is able to compost anything that was once alive including paper products and coffee grounds. Once a year We Compost It! offers one free cubic yard of compost back for doing business with them. The hospital shared the free compost with our employees. We are proud to be a part of the effort to keep our hometown green!

That’s why MaineHealth members and its affiliate hospitals are partnering with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute on a new cancer care initiative, supported by a $10 million dollar grant from the Harold Alfond® Foundation. The SMH Thrift Shop is holding its annual yard sale on Friday, June 16, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. As the yard sale will be inside this year, the store will not be accepting donations inside the shop on the day of the sale.

The results are in! Congratulations to all who participated in the fifth annual SMH Run for Wellness 5K Walk/Run. It was a beautiful day to get out for the health of it!
