Corned beef & cabbage TIME ..!! Come to PARADISE

The public is invited by the Kiwanis Club to be entertained on Monday Feb. 29 at 7 PM when lawyer, thespian, public servant , poet, author and raconteur Ed Pizzella tells tales of growing up in the 1940's to immigrant parents as written up in his recent book of memoirs Newington people and Newington community theatre.. Names and anecdotes of nearly 100 involved local citizens will come up Radio-TV's Steve Parker will be Emcee. Finally there'll be a free raffle for one or more of Pizzella's recently published books. Admission is FREE. Just walk in, no reservations required, plenty of seats available. This will happen at 7 PM on Monday February 29 In the Great Room of the Paradise Pizza Restaurant, 10 East Street, New Britain, sponsored by the Newington Kiwanis Club. Atty. Pizzella will also sign copies of his books. This event is another in the Kiwanis Club’s Open-to-the-Public Forum Nights which presents a program like this on the last Monday of each month except May and December. Some people make an evening of this and come often. Please note: Those who wish to dine should come early before the program. The restaurant’s regular cash menu will be available. Info 860-594-4495.
