The City and DRC created this 1.2 mile Oceanfront Boardwalk to promote economic growth and sustainability. We aim to provide a safe, fun, and family friendly destination along the Grand Strand, providing quality entertainment, a variety of cuisine, and added value for our visitors as well as our locals. A Myrtle Beach attraction, the 1.2 mile Oceanfront Boardwalk groundbreaking was held Saturday, May 15, 2010. The Boardwalk features three unique sections, all of which provide a special environment whether it is a quiet raised wooden walkway over the dunes, a bustling district of shops and eateries, or a tranquil landscaped path which winds along the high density hotel district. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk guarantees long lasting memories which makes it a place you'll want to come back to year after year!
