With 6 significant wildland fires in California, smoke and ash are present in Morro Bay. There is no active fire in Morro Bay or San Luis Obispo County. The SLO County Public Health Department and Air Pollution Control District recommend if you smell smoke, please take common sense precautions to reduce the harmful effects associated with smoke exposure. Please avoid strenuous outdoor activity and remain indoors as much as possible. People with existing respiratory illness and heart conditions should avoid outdoor strenuous activity until our skies clear. APCD and County officials will continue to closely monitor smoke impacts to our communities. More information can be found at slocleanair.org/air-quality/wildfire Sign up to receive the daily air quality forecast via email by subscribing online at enviroflash.info Please take at look at the attached press release from our County agencies.
