Mastic Beach is a Historic Village where the signer of the Declaration of Independence—William Floyd—once lived and where his home still stands today.

Mastic Beach is a peninsula ideally located on the shores of Narrow Bay between the the Forge and Carmen rivers. This beautiful South Shore community is 5 minutes to ocean beaches, about one-hour from New York City, and just 13 miles from the Hamptons; accessible via major roadways as well as the Long Island Railroad and convenient to 3 airports.

The Village of Mastic Beach continues to grow and flourish with an up-and-coming village center and a laid back beach lifestyle that is second to none.

SCPD Shield > Home

At a meeting of the Board of Trustees on April 18, 2017, Inspector Gerard McCarthy and COPE Officer Michael Casper announced a new Police-Department initiative known as "Operation Shield". This program enables residents and business owners to register their contact information concerning security cameras located on their premises. In the event there is criminal activity in the general vicinity of the residents' and/or business owners' security cameras, the police will contact the camera owners and request to review the footage in question. By working together, police representatives are hopeful this initiative will yield additional information to help solve crimes. Anyone wishing to register their contact information for their security cameras may do so by signing up using the link below: http://suffolkcountyny.gov/scpd-shield/home.aspx

"Operation Rolling Thunder" - Day 2 Update Mayor Robert A. Miller reports that midway through Day 2 of "Operation Rolling Thunder", emergency-pothole repairs are progressing at a strong pace. By the end of today, repairs will have been completed on the Village's main thoroughfares (Neighborhood, Mastic Beach, Mastic, Wavecrest and Riverside) in addition to work on side streets in the Parkview/John's Neck area. Repair work is commencing in the Park/Riviera area as well. Weather permitting, the balance of the repairs is expected to be completed by late afternoon tomorrow. It is possible a small number of potholes may require an additional day to complete and this will be known once an assessment is completed tomorrow afternoon.
