APVAD is a local dance studio whose sole purpose is to help children develop a love for dance while instructing a strong dance education.  Under the direction of Owner, Eleni Vernon, APV Academy of Dance is located in the heart of Kenansville, NC beside Tokyo Sunrise.  APVAD offers an abundance of styles of dance for all ages: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acro, Clogging, Preschool Combo, and Tiny Ballerinas.

As a native of Duplin County, Vernon is extremely familiar with this community.  Her goal is to fill students' hearts with the same love of dance she instills herself.     APVAD is a positive environment for students to improve dance ability, coordination, self-confidence, and self-discipline.

APV Academy of Dance's Team Page for Cape Fear Heart Walk

APV Academy of Dance proudly supports the American Heart Association. We walk in memory of Amelia Pickett Vernon - our namesake. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2020! Our team is participating in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk to promote physical activity to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. If each person who "likes" this page gives $10, that is $3,260 donated to the AHA. Last year we reached our goal of $1,000! This year we are raising the bar and our goal is $1,200! The following is an outline of what your donated money is used for: $500 – Teach more than 2,500 children how to avoid obesity and live longer $250 – Saves lives by helping to distribute 15 innovative CPR Anytime kits to the community $100 – Empower 1,000 people to improve their heart health by taking the My Life Check $25 – Plant the seeds for research funding and the next medical breakthrough Thank you so much for your support in fighting the number one cause of death in the US and the number one killer of women!
