On 05/12/17, a set of keys was turned to our police department. The keys were located by a citizen in Jonen Park. If you are the owner of know of someone that is missing a set of keys from the Jonen Park area, please contact the Kaukauna Police Department 920-766-6333 with a description of your missing keys.

A Boys Hero!!!!! 11 years ago, Officer Charlie Vosters was dispatched to a call every Police Officer fears hearing come across the police radio. “Respond for a baby, who is choking and losing consciousness ”. Officer Vosters responded to the address, lights and sirens, heart racing and full of anxiety, hoping his training would guide him through this call. He knew this could be a life or death situation. Officer Vosters arrived on scene and in the little boys mothers own words this is what happened; “Officer Vosters quickly took the child from his mother's arms, gave the little boy a brief visual assessment, turned him over and proceeded to administer two perfectly positioned blows to his back. At that moment, the baby gasped and gulped for air like a swimmer hitting the surface after being underwater far too long. The child's mother yelled, "Wait, I see something!" With a flick of his arm, Officer Vosters turned the boy over. His mother gave the baby a quick sweep of his mouth with her finger...and pulled out a bright pink Barbie shoe!” While growing up, this little boy’s mother watched him grow and told him the story of how Officer Vosters saved his life. This little boy is now 11 years-old and was recently tasked to write a paper for school in regards to a hero in his life, he picked Officer Vosters. Tonight, Officer Vosters and the boy met for the first time in 11 years and the boy was able to tell his classmates how Officer Vosters saved his life….

Last week Rocko and Officer Meyer spent a few day in Madison at a scent tracking school...Rocko loved State Street. He did some very successful tracks on concrete and in very populated areas... Good job Rocko and Officer Meyer. Keep up the hard work.

UPDATE 03/30/17 ****Dog is with Owner**** Can you help me find my way home? I wandered away and got lost. The nice policeman picked me up near Arthur Street and Green Bay Road in Kaukauna but I couldn't tell him my address. If you can help me, please let the police department know. 920-766-6333.
