Salute to America is Missouri's State Capitol Independence Day celebration held in historic downtown Jefferson City. Salute to America is Missouri's State Capitol Independence Day celebration. Held in historic downtown Jefferson City (voted Rand McNally's America's Most Beautiful Small Town), this multi-day festival covers 17 city blocks of themed activities and attractions, 7 entertainment stages, 2 beer gardens, a carnival, classic car show, petting zoo, tours at the decommissioned Missouri State Penitentiary, hotdog eating contest, patriotic parade, free concerts and the largest shells shot in the Midwest at the Red, White and Boom fireworks sky concert.

Jefferson City is uniquely positioned in the center of Missouri with easy access for guests from across the state. So plan to bring your family & friends and stay the whole weekend and see all America’s most beautiful small town has to offer!

We joined Naught-Naught Insurance Agency tonight with their wreath laying ceremony led by Jefferson City Veterans Council as we welcome home some very deserving veterans.
