New McKendree United Methodist Church
Description
Making new disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. New McKendree is an 880 member congregation of United Methodists committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with our community and world. We have defined our mission as "to invite persons to follow Christ, form them as disciples, and send them into the world as God's servants."
The roots of this community of faith extend back to 1819 with the construction of Old McKendree Chapel east of Jackson. We've been at our uptown location since 1909. Our South campus opened in 2005 and in the Fall of 2013 we will open our third campus west of Jackson off Hwy 34 on Hwy U in the Lake Girardeau community.
