So here's a photo recap of our lions digging in. Thanks to all of you who made this fun time possible by bringing your kids during the holiday break. #IFZoo

A year ago today, our zoo grew by one with the birth of Pabu, our sloth bear! He's been a joy to watch and we hope you've loved him as much as we have. You may remember seeing him ride on his mother’s back and cling to her long fur. This is interesting because no other bear species does this. Happy birthday, Pabu! #IFzoo

Many have asked how Ketu, our male snow leopard with kidney failure, is doing. Overall, he is doing well. Ketu's blood values are not causing us concern at this time and he is eating well and active. Because his health is holding steady, his treatments have been reduced to "as needed" to avoid causing him unnecessary stress. Thanks for your concern and continued interest in the members Idaho Falls Zoo family! If you missed Ketu's story, visit https://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=389

It’s a boy! A Reeves’ muntjac joined the zoo family on Nov. 2. Muntjacs are a type of deer native to southeastern China and Taiwan. They are also known as “vampire deer” as they grow elongated, visible canine teeth throughout their lives. As you can see, the little guy is doing very well.
