Home of the original cheesesteak & hoagie and Broad Street Bully Burger. You've tried the rest, now try the best! John came to California in 1985, after growing up in the Philadelphia area (including the Jersey shore) and working in the new casino industry that was happening in Atlantic City.

After being in California for a few years, John opened his first location along Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach in 1990. The response was very receptive, and so came the two Huntington Beach locations that are still operated by John and his staff. In 2005 the Seal Beach location opened to fill the void of not having the Sunset Beach location any longer.

With a background in fine dining, John decided that he would stay true to his love of homemade dishes and only use the freshest ingredients in his sandwiches. Still to this day after 25 years, the rolls are baked fresh every single day (including Sundays). The steak is choice steak that is sliced fresh, and all of the lunch meats and produce are sliced fresh every day.

Many chains and franchises have popped up since 1990 in California, but John's is still a "family-owned" establishment that prides itself in customer service.

Come by and see the difference that not being a franchise is! It makes us stand out as the best cheesesteaks and hoagies in California.
