On September 30, 2017, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint in reference to subjects using a victims credit card information at local Walgreens. The Sheriff’s office is asking the publics assistance in identifying the two subjects in the videos.

News Release October 16, 2017 (Update) Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on October 16, 2017, Monday afternoon, Rinard Charles surrendered at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Charles was arrested on a 32nd Judicial District arrest warrant for attempted second degree murder and remains in jail on a $200,000.00 bond. This case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the TPSO, (985)876-2500, for detectives. October 9, 2017 Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on October 8, 2017, Sunday night, at approximately 10:30 p.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies and detectives responded to a shooting that occurred in the 3100 block of West Main St. Gray, La. Upon arrival on the scene deputies located the 33 year old man who suffered with a gunshot wound to his upper thigh. He was conscious and responsive upon the initial contact with him. The victim was treated on scene by Acadian Ambulance and later transported to an out of area hospital. The victim’s condition is serious but does not appear to be life threatening at this time. After further investigation detectives learned that the victim and his girlfriend’s brother, Rinard Charles, were involved in a verbal altercation when the Charles pulled out a handgun and shot the victim in the upper thigh. Charles fled the scene before the deputies arrived. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Rinard Charles, b/m, birth date 1/05/1999, 3110 West Main St. Gray is asked to call the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office, (985)876-2500, or Bayou Region Crime Stoppers, 1(800)743-7433, and may become eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.00.

News Release October 14, 2017 ​Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on October 14, 2017, Saturday afternoon, at approx. 1:10 p.m., Terrebonne Parish deputies and detectives responded to 116 Old Schriever Highway, Schriever in reference to a shooting. ​Deputies arrived on scene and learned that a 34 year old female had been shot while inside of her residence. Acadian Ambulance treated the victim on scene for a gunshot wound to her body. There shortly afterwards, she was transported to an out of area hospital where she remains in critical condition. ​Denzell Lee Lewis who is a relative of the victim is wanted by TSPO detectives in connection with this shooting. Lewis is a black male with a birth date of 4/01/96. He is 5’07” in height and weighs approx. 150 lbs. ​Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to call TPSO, (985)876-2500, or Bayou Region Crime Stoppers, 1(800)743-7433, and become eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000.00. News Release October 4, 2017 Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on October 3, 2017, Tuesday morning, at approx. 12:30 a.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to the 4100 block of Grand Caillou Rd. in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival at this location the deputy made contact with a 21 year old male victim who was bleeding from his face. He had a swollen right eye and scratch marks on the bridge of his nose. The victim stated that he was there visiting with a 22 year old female acquaintance when someone began banging on the front door and sounded very irate. He said that when the female opened the door it was her grandfather who is identified as Jerry Duplantis. The victim said that Duplantis was holding a handgun and threatened to shoot him so he raised both of his hands. The victim said that at this time Duplantis struck him in the face with the handgun. During the altercation Duplantis also allegedly attacked the female and tried to strike her in the face with the handgun. The female had an injury to her forearm which was said that to have been caused by her trying to cover her face. Both victims were treated on scene by Acadian Ambulance Service. Deputies made contact with Duplantis at his residence, 5286 Grand Caillou Rd., and he was taken into custody without incident. Deputies interviewed Duplantis and he admitted to being involved in an altercation with the male victim but said that he was defending himself. He said that he allowed the female to live in his apartment (rental) under the conditions that she don’t have any male visitors after 10:00 p.m. After further investigation Jerry Joseph Duplantis, w/m, age 75, 5286 Grand Caillou Rd. Houma was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and two counts of aggravated battery. Duplantis bonded bond out of the Terrebonne Parish Jail later during the morning on a $5,000.00 bond.

News Release October 3, 2017​ ​Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on October 2, 2017, Monday morning, Terrebonne Parish detectives arrested a Houma man for allegedly having sexual relations with two underage juvenile females. ​Approximately three weeks ago TPSO began investigating a complaint filed by the parents of a 15 year old female. There was information was presented to detectives of the 22 year old man sending indecent messages over social media to the 15 year old juvenile. The 22 year old male was identified as Logan Billiot of Houma. ​During the investigation TPSO detectives learned that Billiot had sexual encounters with this juvenile and another 15 year old juvenile as well. ​On October 2, 2017, Monday morning, Billiot was questioned at the Sheriff’s Office by TPSO detectives and he admitted to having sex with only one of the females. Logan Billiot, w/m, age 22, 376 Highridge Dr. Houma was arrested for two counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Jail. Billiot remains in jail on a $10,000.00 bond.

News Release October 2, 2017 Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on September 29, 2017, Friday morning, at approx. 1:30 a.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to the 200 block of Robert St. Houma in reference to a disturbance. Deputies arrived at this location and spoke with the complainant who was the mother (age 52) of the suspect. She said that earlier during the night her son, Trent Lebouef, called and told her that he was out drinking and wanted her to leave the door unlocked so that he could in when he got home. The complainant said that she did not leave the door unlocked and Lebouef was mad with her. She said that after she opened the door and let him into their house he argued with her for over an hour while she laid in bed. She said that Lebouef then used his cigarette lighter and lit a crate full of plastic bags on fire. Lebouef’s mother extinguished the fire prior to the deputy’s arrival but the deputy could smell the smoke from the fire and there was evidence that the bags were burned. There was no one injured during this incident. The deputy questioned Lebouef regarding this matter and he admitted to starting the fire but claims that it was an accident. After further investigation Trent Joseph Lebouef, w/m, age 25, 257 Robert Dr. Houma was arrested for aggravated arson and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Lebouef remains in jail on a $25,000.00.

News Release October 2, 2017 Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on September 30, 2017, Saturday morning, at approximately 9:30 a.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies began an investigation regarding carnal knowledge of a juvenile. After receiving the initial call deputies made contact with the mother of a 14 year old female. The mother informed the deputy that she had information that her daughter recently had sexual relations with a 19 year old male who was an acquaintance of the family. The deputy was provided with evidence of this crime that was shared on social media. After further investigation TPSO deputies located the suspect, Blayze Torres, at his residence. Torres was transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was questioned and he admitted to the allegations made against him. Blayze Jason Torres, w/m, age 19, 120 Marcel St. Houma was arrested for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Torres was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex where he remains on a $5,000.00 bond.

News Release September 27, 2017 Terrebonne Parish Sheriff, Jerry J. Larpenter, said that a recent narcotics investigation led to the arrest of a father and son, and the seizure of illegal narcotics, paraphernalia, and money. Terrebonne Parish Narcotics Agents began this investigation from multiple tips from concerned citizens. Narcotics Agents received information that (father) Tony Authement (White/Male 40 years old) and (son) Trey Authement (Black/Male 19 years old) were involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics. Information indicated this was occurring within Terrebonne Parish. This investigation resulted in Narcotics Agents obtaining a search warrant for the residence located at 430 T-Leigh Dr. in Houma. Narcotics Agents were assisted by Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9 Deputies as this search warrant was executed on Monday evening, 9-25-17. Both Tony Authement and Trey Authement were located inside of the residence when this search warrant was executed. The following items were recovered during this search warrant. 1. Approximately 64 grams of suspected Heroin (street value $12,800.00) 2. Three doses of Suboxone (street value $30.00) 3. Two Xanax pills (street value $10.00) 4. One Cyclobenzapine pill (street value $5.00) 5. A plastic bag containing 18 ½ Viagra pills (street value $92.50) 6. $24,200.00 in U.S. Currency 7. Assorted items of paraphernalia to include digital scales and plastic bags. (These items are consistent with the weighing and packaging of illegal narcotics for distribution). As a result of this investigation both Tony Authement, w/m, age 40 and Trey Authement, b/m age 19 of 430 T. Leigh Dr. Houma were arrested for the following criminal offenses. They were both booked and jailed at Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Tony’s bond is $75,000.00 and Trey’s bond is $675,000.00. 1. Possession with intent to distribute Heroin 2. Possession of Xanax 3. Possession of Suboxone 4. Three counts of Possession of Legend Drug 5. Transactions Involving Drug Proceeds 6. Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

News Release September 25, 2017 Sheriff Jerry Larpenter said that on September 24, 2017, Sunday night, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to 109 Muskrat Court Houma in reference to a disturbance. Deputies arrived at this location and made contact with the complainant who advised that the suspect, Seth Roussell, and his 43 year old brother had been drinking alcoholic beverages before Seth began to fight with his brother. During the fight Seth cut his brother on the hand with a large knife as the brother was attempting to get away. Seth’s brother later went to Chabert Medical Center where he was treated for the laceration to his hand. The injury does not appear to be life threatening. During the disturbance Seth’s 73 year old mother was standing inside of the front door when he kicked in the door, which hit her leaving a bruise to her forearm. Seth then entered the residence and threatened his mother with the knife. Seth broke plates, cabinets and pictures in the kitchen of the mobile home. Seth’s mother managed to lock herself inside of her bedroom until the deputy arrived. After further investigation Seth Holden Roussell, w/m, age 29, 109 Muskrat Court Houma was arrested for cruelty to persons with infirmities, aggravated assault (domestic violence), aggravated second degree battery and false imprisonment. He remains in the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $100,000.00 bond.
