An update and a request: Good news, we've reinstalled the lock position sensors, have had our electricians check them out and we've operated the locks and confirmed we are operational. (For those of you with key cards, that has been tested as well.) The pedestrian draw bridge has also been checked and verified. It has been quite the event. We intend to publish a recap in the coming days. But in the meantime, we would like to ask everyone a favor. Our marina is somewhat of a hidden gem. We'd like to improve its popularity, increase our occupancy rate and see our owners' slip valuations rise. Our reputation has grown by Word Of Mouth, but also through the reviews on boater oriented sites such as ActiveCaptain. If you could take a few minutes and add a review there, it would be most appreciated. Here is a link you can use to get there: https://activecaptain.com/X.php?lat=32.215796&lon=-80.779938&t=n&z=16 If you don't have an Active Captain account (although you should get one) please consider leaving a review here on our Facebook page. Thanks and Regards

Status Update Good evening everyone, I hope everyone is safe and did not have much damage to their homes. The storm surge was the main issue here and I believe it rivaled Hurricane Mathew, thankfully we did not have that kind of wind. The boats in the marina rode out the storm extremely well and hopefully most of you have made it to the island or are planning to check on your boat very soon. Please be very careful around the marina as there is still quite a bit of debris. If you see unfamiliar line supplementing your docklines, it is probably ours. While our rules and regs allow us to take such action and charge a fee for it, we did not take records of what boats we added additional line to. Please return any line that is not yours to the marina office. It's always a great idea to let the marina office know ahead of the storm season where you keep additional lines, although it's much better if you are a vacant boat owner to utilize a contractor for boat preparations. It was great to see lots of folks taking this storm seriously and preparing their boats. THE LOCK The lock will be out of operation for the next couple of days for recreational boating. We can still operate the lock manually which we will do for necessary arrivals/departures between the hours of 9am and 5pm. After hours lock usage will be turned off until repairs are made. We have to reinstall the lock sensors which we removed prior to the storm and also clean out some wiring boxes. The electricians are suppose to be here tomorrow to work on getting things back to normal. HARBOUR COVE DRAWBRIDGE The drawbridge is working fine, but we have decided to leave it in the "up" position until our electricians get here tomorrow and give it a thorough inspection. FUEL DOCK The fuel dock has lost some flotation and is not level. We have a contractor coming to repair that in the next couple of days. In the mean time, we will continue to operate the fuel dock, but please do not walk on the fuel dock. Please let the marina staff hand you the fuel nozzle while you remain on board. Stay safe, Jake McMillan
