70th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE U.S. AIR FORCE AT HILL AEROSPACE MUSEUM The Hill Aerospace Museum is hosting a major celebration to commemorate the U.S. Air Force's 70th Anniversary on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm at the Hill Aerospace Museum. FREE ADMISSION! Team Hill salutes the U.S. Air Force and the barriers they have broken since 1947. Through innovation, teamwork, and excellence, the U. S. Air Force has become the most dominant air power in the world. Food, music, speakers, Hill Air Force Base unit demonstrations/displays, birthday cake, and open aircraft will highlight the events of the day. Numerous “Food Trucks” will be on hand for celebration attendees to satisfy their hunger. The Ogden Concert Band and the “Midlife Crisis” Rock Band will entertain guests throughout the day. Speakers will include former SR-71 pilot and Utahan Gil Bertelsen, and a 388th Fighter Wing F-35 pilot. Hill Air Force Base displays will include Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Munitions, Firefighting, 388th / 419th Fighter Wings, Ogden Air Logistics Complex and more. Open aircraft will include such museum pieces as the SR-71, KC-135, C-130, A-10, F-16A, F-15, B-17, F-105, F-106, P-51, F-86, and H-53. EVENT: U. S. Air Force 70th Anniversary Celebration TIME: 10:00 am - 4:30pm DATE: Saturday September 16, 2017 ADDRESS: Hill Aerospace Museum, 7961 Wardleigh Road, Building 1955, Hill AFB, UT FREE ADMISSION! A gate pass for Hill AFB is NOT required to visit the museum. Simply take Exit 338 off Interstate 15 in Roy, Utah, and enter the Museum grounds through the Museum gate.
