FITNESS, FUN, FAMILY, & MOVEMENT THROUGH DANCE!! Work up a sweat while learning current African and Dancehall moves in a JUDGE FREE ZONE About me: My name is Roshonda aka ShowTime. I've been dancing since a very young age. From talent shows, step teams, dance performances, videos and full productions. My goal is to start a non profit  for therapeutic dance/mentoring.  Dance can be very therapeutic. It has gotten me thru a lot of life chanllenges. I believe dance will help others deal with there life struggles as well.
I chose the many forms of African dance simply because those beats just send me to a different world. A world where everyone is welcomed.

Dance style: Kuduro (or kuduru) is a type of music and dance originally developed in Angola in the 1980s. It is characterized as uptempo, energetic, and danceable. This was a time when a major war was happening. They would imitate their living environment in these dance moves. You will also learn to dance Afro House similar to hip hop house dance but with an afro style.

🎉Celebrating 28days of BLACK HISTORY 🎉 ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽👊🏾 ✌🏽👍🏽👊🏾✌🏽👍🏽👊🏾✌🏽👍🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽 One of the men I admire is Stokley Carmichael also known as Kwame Ture. He was born and raised in Trinidad 🇹🇹 until age 11. He came to The United States age 11, studied at Howard university and was a prominent figure in the Civil Rights Movement and the global Pan-African movement. One of his popular associations was Bobby Seale. He was instrumental in showing African Americans their worth, how to fight, and the rights they deserve. To give African Americans their power back he knew he had to start with politics so he formed a political party- SNCC. P.S. check out his 📚 books.
