9:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist in the Main Sanctuary with Cherub and Children’s Chapel*

10:10-11:00 a.m. - Christian Education for All Ages*

11:15 a.m. - Holy Eucharist in the Historic Church with Cherub and Children’s Chapel and Adult Choir*

*After June 21st, single 10 am service.
Clergy are in the office Tuesday through Thursday and are available for emergencies by telephone every day.

While clergy maintain their own schedule, please contact the church office in order to reach the clergy.

Holy Week Invitation

Holy Week at The Falls Church: This Holy Week you are invited to experience a variety of worship services to help you experience the journey to Easter Morning in a new way. There are opportunities for all ages and for people at all points in their faith journey. Walk this week with brothers and sisters in Christ around the world as we move through the story of Christ's last few days to the transformational promises of Easter life. Palm Sunday -- April 9th Holy Communion with Children's Chapel Sunday, April 9th at 9:00am (Main Sanctuary) and 11:15am (Historic Church) Join us for the yearly remembrance of Jesus's Triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The story of our Lord's Passion will be told in a fresh way this year -- clergy and lay presenters telling it in sequence, from memory, which we hope will allow the power of the story to speak for itself. Maundy Thursday Service Project -- April 13th Thursday April 13th, 5:30pm Fellowship Hall On Maundy Thursday ("Maundy" = mandate or commandment) we remember Jesus' institution of the "Last Supper where Jesus washed the feet of his disciples as model of the service we should provide to others. This year we will create hygiene kits for those who are living at the Bailey's Crossroads homeless shelter. Family friendly opportunity: Pizza will be provided. The Lord's Supper Thursday, April 13th, 7:30pm, Main Sanctuary Join us for a unique remembrance of the origins of Holy Communion. We'll gather around tables in the Main Sanctuary to eat a full meal, read from scripture, and share the bread and wine as the Lord asked us to. If you are able to RSVP please do (tkaton@thefallschurch.org), so we can be sure to have enough food. Please let Terri know what food you might provide (suggestions include olives, nuts, honey, fresh or dried fruit, bread, and red wine). Children over the age of six appropriate. A Children's Walk Through Holy Week Friday, April 14th, 5:30pm, Historic Church A service designed for young children where they will walk through the stories of Jesus' last week. Through the use of their five senses, children will experience the narrative of Holy Week in a way that acknowledges both the challenges and the hopes of the story. Liturgy of Good Friday with Handel's Messiah Friday, April 14th, 7:30pm (Main Sanctuary) A service of prayers, scripture, and selections from the second half of Handel's Messiah to mark the day on which Jesus died. Holy Saturday: A Service for Those Who Mourn Saturday, April 15th, 9:00am (Memorial Chapel) Holy Saturday is a unique moment in the church year. It is the day on which we remember Jesus in the tomb, the day on which those who knew and loved him, mourned him. All are invited to a short service of scripture, candle lighting, and prayers to remember those who have gone before us. We will gather in the Memorial Chapel in the churchyard. Easter Morning Festival Eucharist with Children's Chapel Sunday, April 16th 9:00am (Main Sanctuary) & 11:15am (Historic Church) Familiar hymns of praise and joy will set the tone for an exuberant morning of worship. After each service will be a celebratory Easter festival out on the church lawn.
