Rock-themed garage gym in Fairmont, WV. Power Chord Powerlifting was founded in 2015 by Chris Frigo. A unique concept, PCP is a rock-themed garage gym in Fairmont, West Virginia. As far as we know, the first of its kind, we here at PCP hope to combine serious powerlifting and 60’s-80’s classic rock into one facility. Whether it be our Wall, our vinyl record player, or our blacklight murals, we’re sure that you will enjoy the vintage feeling of our gym.
Here at Power Chord Powerlifting, you can never miss the starting gun. Whether you’re a beginner, or a high-level, competing powerlifter, we train lifters of all levels. No one is discriminated against. The only requirement is that you work hard.
No Smith machines or pec decks, we pride ourselves on providing only high-quality equipment, such as SML-2 power racks, Pendlay Elite bumper plates, and Texas Power Bars, a rarity at most gyms. We map out extensive workout routines, programming from the top-down, with longevity and long-term goals in mind.
Influenced by the work of such great coaches like Boris Sheiko and Mike Tuscherer, you will find that we are one of the last of a dying breed that has not given in to the corporate training structure that plagues the vast majority of gyms these days.
