Sadly, Mrs. Jerry Boron passed away this week. She taught physical education at St. Mary School for over 40 years and worked in the classrooms as an assistant teacher. After she retired she continued to support St. Mary School by volunteering. Mrs. Boron taught the students about Polish Christmas customs, helped them make Polish ornaments, create bookmarks with Polish designs and treated the students to paczki each Fat Tuesday. The family is receiving friends from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, March 23, at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Mary Church on Saturday, March 24 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to St. Mary School. Afterschool Educational Enhancements don't have to be dull! Betsy Amador Ramos taught Face Painting to an enthusiastic crowd. Students had fun, learned a new artistic technique, and worked on cooperation and collaboration between ages and grades.
