Sis. Toya Badie is the wife of Rev. Jon Pierre Badie and the mother of Jameson and the late Jair Badie. In addition to being a career professional, wife, and mother; she freely lends her time and talent here at Second Baptist. Sis. Toya exhibits the gifts of help as she extends herself to family, friends, associates, and anyone in need. In 2005, Sis. Toya was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis and it has caused inflammation in her kidneys. Today, her kidney function has deteriorated to the point that she has to have dialysis and is in need of a kidney transplant. Sis. Toya holds firm to the declaration in the Psalm 23:6, that “goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” For all that Sis. Toya has given and continues to give, let us pray that a living kidney donor is found for her and if so led, prayerfully consider donor match testing.
