The mission of the Academy Art Museum is to enhance cultural life on the Eastern Shore by making its permanent collection, special exhibitions, and broad spectrum art programs widely available.
As the premier regional arts center serving the Mid-Shore, the Museum also offers a wide range of classes in the visual and performing arts - from basic drawing and photography to ballet and voice lessons.

Monday, May 15th from 1-3:30 pm is costumed dancer day for Open Portrait Studio. A Free program for Academy Art Museum Members! The model Camilla Smigo has been studying dance since she was two and in 2015 she graduated with a BFA in Dance. She has taught for five years at The Mid Shore Dance Academy located in Easton and Chestertown where she now has a full time teaching position.
