serving the children of the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere This non-profit organization based in Monroe, Washington planted its roots in 1987 with a desire in the hearts of Dick and Dixie Montgomery to share the love of Christ by taking their family to work with children in Haiti. After two years in an orphanage helping the poorest of the poor, the Montgomery family came back to the States ever changed, and carrying memories that would drive the creation of the child sponsorship program nearly two decades later.

From Dixie: We rose early to get things packed up. The wind blew all night, but no rain. We are heading to the beach, and then on to Port today. SO glad we had a day to catch up yesterday. Please continue to pray for safe travels and God's covering. Bless each one of you for being a part of this work in Haiti.

The school at Nanwo this am. I'm tickled pink to see the construction completed. All we need now is paint & electrical work to complete the project.

"Whoa, thank God we left a day early... it rained this morning as we watched the peaks engulfed by clouds. This also brought a mild breeze to us in Nan wo, perfect to cool our tired bodies. We re-sorted things in our bags and did laundry, quiet happy that we didn't have to hike down in the rain. Breakfast was a simple meal of cooked potatoes, carrots, peppers, and aged hotdogs. We are tending to small chores around the compound and finishing updating student information on the computer. Harley being Harley can't stay still, so he is sweating away on upgrading the electrical system, which still needs a lot of work.We will head to the orphanage later for a visit. The Nan wo children have school today and are excited to see us. Tomorrow, we will go to the beach on our way to Port au Prince, and head to Byron and Shelley Tlucek's home for dinner and bed." -Tony
