Freedom Biker Church Devotions July 31, 2017 Reading Our Owner’s Manual for Instructions Chap 10---God’s Got This Focus on God---Listen to Him Ecclesiastes 5:1 “Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil.” Billy and Nelson are always asking us, “Why did you come to church?” According to today’s verse we need to “guard our steps” when we go to church. Why? The enemy does NOT want us to hear from God. He does not want God to comfort us, to guide us, to teach us, to change our minds, to change our hearts, etc. Today’s verse reminds us that when we go to church we should go to listen to God. We are not going to say we ‘went to church’, to have social hour, to do our ‘duty’, etc. God doesn’t want us to think that we are doing it to impress Him or it is our duty to Him---“sacrifice of fools”. Church is ‘about Him’. It is us going to worship Him, to honor Him, to listen to Him, etc. Often times in church our minds wonder---we think about things that happened the past week, we wonder what we are going to make for lunch, we wonder why so and so is not there to hear this sermon it would be good for them to hear, etc. The enemy does not want us to focus on God when we are in church. We need to honest---did owe focus on God and listen to Him yesterday? Father thank You for reminding us to guard ourselves when we come into Your house. You desire for us to focus on meeting You.

Freedom Biker Church Devotions July 28, 2017 Reading Our Owner’s Manual for Instructions Chap 10---God’s Got This John 10:30 "I and the Father are one." This past several days we have looked at the 7 times in the book of John where Jesus says, “I am”. Then yesterday we looked in Exodus 3:14-15 where God the Father told Moses to tell the people that “I AM” sent him to deliver them. In today’s verse Jesus tells us that He and the Father are ONE. He IS God. The religious leaders used this statement to claim that Jesus was blasphemy against God and would seek to crucify Him---which they would later do. We must believe that Jesus IS God. He came as a man and lived a sinless life. Then at the time appointed by God, Jesus was crucified on the cross that we might be forgiven of our sins (what separated us from God) and then live with Him for eternity. We must believe and confess Him as our Lord and Savior in order to be forgiven and receive eternal life. Then we will not only truly begin to know Jesus but our Father as well. This is the ONE decision that will change your destiny and your eternal destination. Do NOT put it off if you have not made a choice to receive Christ. Have you come to a moment in your life when you humbled yourself and received what Christ has done for you? If not NOW can be that moment. Stop and pray something like this, “Jesus I know that I am a sinner. I need You. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross and that You rose again on the 3rd day. Please forgive me and be my Lord and my Savior. Thank You for saving me.” If you do this you need to tell someone you know who is a believer or email me and we will talk.

Freedom Biker Church Devotions July 27, 2017 Reading Our Owner’s Manual for Instructions Chap 10---God’s Got This “I AM” Exodus 3:14-15 “God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" 15 God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations.” God was sending Moses to free the people from slavery in Egypt. Moses asks God what he should say to the people so they will believe that God has really sent him. God tells Moses to tell them “I AM WHO I AM”. This is the name Jehovah or Yahweh in the Hebrew language. This name became so sacred that those transcribing the original text of the Bible had to not only use a new pen (feather) each time they wrote it, they also had to change their clothes. It is the most sacred name. God goes on to tell Moses that this name would be ‘the’ name that would be most important to the Jewish people through every generation. “I AM”. He is all we need. He is everything we need. We need no one or nothing but Jehovah. Do we really believe this? Father thank You for telling us who You are for us. Thank You for being all we need.

Freedom Biker Church Devotions July 26, 2017 Reading Our Owner’s Manual for Instructions Chap 10---God’s Got This The Vine John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” John 15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” Jesus is telling His disciples and us that He is in the Father and we are in Him. In order for branches of a vine to live, the vine itself must be alive. We have heard Jesus tell us that He is life (see John 14:6). Because He is life, we can live but only if we abide---walk close to, allow Him to live through us, etc. Also, if we try to do things on our own, without Him, we will not be able to do anything. Jesus has told us, “And looking at them Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."- Matthew 19:26 If we are ‘abiding’ in Christ, everything that God asks us to do will be possible. Today we need to ask ourselves if we are trying to do things on our own or if we are totally depending on Christ to live through us. Jesus thank You for being our source of life. Thank You for giving us all we need to do the things You ask us to do.

Freedom Biker Church Devotions July 25, 2017 Reading Our Owner’s Manual for Instructions Chap 10---God’s Got This The Way, the Truth and the Life John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” Jesus is comforting His disciples and telling them, and us, that because they have believed in Him, they will see the Father. He is explaining that HE ALONE is the way to the Father, that He is truth and life. Paul confirmed this in Ephesians 2:18, “for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.” Many have claimed and many more will claim that believers/Christians are being ‘narrow minded’ when we say that there is ONLY ONE WAY to go to heaven to see the Father and that ‘way’ is by believing in Jesus. Either Jesus speaks truth and He is who He says or He lies and is NOT who He claims to be. Each person must decide which it is that they believe. Each person will then be judged according to that belief. I have placed my belief in Jesus. I will see the Father. Will you? Jesus thank You that You died that we will go to heaven and see our Father and be with You forever.

Freedom Biker Church Devotions July 24, 2017 Reading Our Owner’s Manual for Instructions Chap 10---God’s Got This The Resurrection and the Life John 11:25-26 “Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" In order for us to become a true ‘believer’ and have Jesus be our Lord and Savior we have all had to answer the question Jesus asked Martha. We must believe that when we put our faith/believe in Christ we will live forever with Him even when we die physically. Lazarus has died and been in the tomb for 4 days. Jesus has come. Martha is upset because He did not come earlier and prevent Lazarus from dying. He has come to resurrect Lazarus for God’s glory. It is interesting that Jesus does not say this to Lazarus after He brings him back from the dead. Instead Jesus tells Martha, someone who is living, that He is the resurrection and the life. True believers will ‘know’ that He is able to once again give them life when they die physically and in the next moment find themselves in the presence of Christ. However, as we live from day to day, we need to know that Christ has come to resurrect our souls NOW. He tells us to come to Him when we are weary---see Matthew 11:28. He also tells us that He has come to give us an abundant life NOW---see John 10:10. Jesus is reminding Martha and us that TODAY, right now, we should live our life to the fullest because He is with us, He is providing for us, etc. We WILL live again. The question is, ‘Are we living now?” Jesus thank You for dying that we might live---not only for eternity with You but with You now as we walk on this earth.
