Today on National Astronomy Day, we remember our own alumnae, Annie Jump Cannon 1880. Annie Jump Cannon (1863-1941), a prominent astronomer who pioneered stellar classification, observed her first stars from the roof of the Annie Jump Cannon house, today known as the “Cannon House,” the Wesley College President’s home.
