facebook.comLockhart’s Barber College will be continuing the tradition of offering free back to school haircuts for the Decatur community this year. The college will be providing free haircuts Augusts 9th-12th from 9-5 for K-8 students. This is the 3rd consecutive year that the barber college and local unions have collaborated in this effort to give back to the community. The Back to School effort is collaboration between Lockhart’s Barber College and Painters Local Union 288/Glaziers Local Union 1168, with funding through the children’s charity P.A.T.C.H. (Painters & Allied Trades for Children’s Hope). In addition, Street Dogs, a Heartland Community Church ministry, will be providing free hot dogs and chips Friday and Saturday (11th & 12th) at the event.
