Georgia Regents University Section of Urology Welcome to the Georgia Regents University Section of Urology. We offer individualized, multidisciplinary care through a full range of treatments for urologic oncology (cancer of the prostate, bladder, kidney, ureter, testis or penis), pediatric urology, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, female urology, renal transplantation (urological aspects), male infertility, incontinence, neuro-urology and general adult urology (prostate enlargement or BPH, prostatitis, urinary tract infections, urinary obstruction, urinary discomfort, scrotal problems).  To make an appointment at the Adult Urology Clinic, Pediatric Urology Clinic or Cancer Center call 706-721-7000.

In addition to traditional therapies, we offer leading-edge technology by fellowship-trained surgeons. We employ the latest generation da Vinci® Surgical System to perform minimally invasive robotic prostatectomy. Our surgeons also use robotic technology to treat kidney cancer via partial nephrectomy, and our pediatric urologist relies on it for delicate reconstructive surgeries on infants and children.

The GHSU section of Urology continues to grow to meet patient needs; the field of urology is also growing rapidly, with many innovative developments that require us to keep pace with the latest in treatment options. Other leading edge technology procedures include laparoscopic and nerve-sparing prostatectomy, shock-wave therapy for kidney stones, laser treatment of stones or urinary tract tumors, advanced urinary tract reconstruction for both children and adults, and continent diversion or orthotopic bladder replacement. Our section encompasses the urology divisions at the Georgia Health Sciences University Health Care System, Children’s Medical Center, and the Charlie Norwood Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

In addition to our focus on patient care, the section of Urology has strong clinical, translational and basic science research programs in prostate cancer and andrology, with grants and funding at its highest in our history. Our distinguished faculty is composed of fellowship-trained, board-certified physicians who represent a broad spectrum of interests. Devoted to our clinical practice and our patients, we are also dedicated to training future generations of urologists.
