All The Charm of Yesterday with A Vision For Tomorrow!

Imagine 1912. There were flat golden fields of wheat ready to be harvested, and horse drawn buggies carrying farmers into town on dirt roads to sell their home grown vegetables. That is how Edgewood began. Edgewood was incorporated on January 27, 1930 and has grown into the safe, caring, and vital community it is today. Welcome to Edgewood!

From the Edgewood Police Department: The Edgewood Police Department would like to take the opportunity to make things a little easier on our residents: If you are having family over for the holidays this week and weekend, please feel free to just call us at the PD for a 'Verbal Parking Permit' As most of our residents are aware; there is no parking on Edgewood streets without a parking permit, but we would like to suspend the rules this week to make it just a bit easier for everyone. Please call the PD (642-3200) and let us know when you are needing the on street parking and we will add your home to our list of parking permits. We still ask that everyone limit the amount of on street parking as much as possible, and please only have vehicles parked on one side of the street - this allows us to get larger emergency equipment through if needed (fire trucks, ect). Also, the same goes for parking in your yard; If you were not aware, the Town has adopted an ordinance prohibiting vehicles being parked in any part of your yard. We only need a phone call this week to let us know that you are having an event, and will have vehicles in your yard temporarily. Parking permit procedures will go back to normal (completed paper forms) on Monday 11/28/16. Thank you for your time and as always - please pass this on to family and friends in the area who may not use social media.

PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT Our Police Department has received information that coyotes have been spotted in town during the evening hours. Please take caution if you are out walking - especially if you are out walking with a smaller dog or other animal. Speaking of our loved pets, please keep an eye out for your little guys and gals if they are out alone during the evening or night time hours - even with a fence, coyotes have been known to steal a pet. Help each other out; speak with your neighbors and warn them if you have seen any of these animals around the neighborhood.
