Our Rock 'n Wheels season ended last night, and we send our thanks to everyone who made this our best summer ever. From the Craft Fair and Museum Open House, to the Bike & Car Cruise Night and Food Fests, and of course, the entertainment, it was all a rousing success. None of it would have been possible without the generosity of our sponsors: 601 Bar & Grill, Aaron’s Furniture, Addison Bank & Trust -- a Wintrust Community Bank, Century 21 Lullo, Edward-Elmhurst Health, Firehouse Subs, Farmers Insurance -- Jennifer Nevers Agency, Green Meadow Shopping Center, Hi-Tech Auto Repair, Itasca Bank & Trust, Jane's Hallmark, Marcus Theatres, Muggs 'n Manor, Thomas Tile & Carpet, and of course, 95.9 The River. We encourage you to visit http://ItHappensInAddison.com! There you can see photos from the summer, get links to all our sponsors, and learn about other events later this year, including the Fall Fest, Mayor's Community Charity Ball and the Christmas Tree Lighting. After we catch our breath, we'll start the planning for 2018, so we encourage to let us know what you think. What did you like, what would you like to see ... post it here and we'll keep in mind. Thank you, Addison! See you next summer!

It looks to be another cool, beautiful summer evening on the Village Green for our final Rock 'n Wheels of 2017. Joe Kalish starts of the entertainment tonight, followed by Sixteen Candles, one of last season's favorites. It's Wildcard Night, with a huge variety of food offerings, including: Brisket and roasted corn from 601 Bar & Grill; Panzerotti and Pizza from Nardi's; Polish Sausage, Pierogi and Potato Pancakes from Barb's Polish Deli; Broiled Chicken & Rice, Broasted Chicken and Hot Dogs from Muggs 'n Manor; Tacos and Churros from Cilantro; and Arancini and Lasagna from Alta Villa. There's goodies from Uncle Harry's Ice Cream and Millie's Pancake Shoppe, and adult beverages at both 601 and Muggs. And don't forget to stay until the end, as we bid summer farewell with a Fireworks Finale!

Our final show is just a few days away! The last Rock 'n Wheels of 2017 is this Thursday, Aug. 31, and our local restaurants will bring out their very best for Wildcard Night. The fun begins at 6 p.m. on the Village Green. Work up an appetite by walking through the Historical Museum Open House and their Craft Fair, until 8 p.m. Don't forget to check out the cars and bike at the Cruise Night. (Remember, if you are showing a car, you must arrive early! Cars will not be allowed in after 7:30 p.m., or when we run out of space!) Entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. with Addison's own Joe Kalish, followed by crowd favorite Sixteen Candles at 7:30 p.m. The night ends with a fireworks finale! Join us from 6 - 10 p.m. on the Village Green!

Thank you to everyone who came out on Thursday night to hear our three Motown acts and enjoy lots of great food, fast cars and fun! But summer's not over yet. There are two more Rock 'n Wheels left, and they get bigger every week! This Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., enjoy Around the World Cuisine from our Addison restaurants, while hearing our biggest rocking acts of the season! Kicking things off will be Addison favorite "Kashmir," featuring a semi-acoustic set with strings. Then we bring "Jack Russell's Great White" to our 95.9 The River Rock 'n Wheels Stage! If that's not enough, be here for the return of the Urias Family "Globe of Death" Motorcycle Stunt show! Parking for the Bike and Car Cruise Night will be limited this week, because of the stunt show, so get here early and stay late!
