A big thank you to everyone who put their loose change - and sometimes a bit more - in our collection box over Nov/Dec. We've donated that to the woodland trust and they gave us the option of supporting the northern forest which will be on our doorstep! Thanks again for your generosity.

HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND? We had forest birthday parties and a bear hunt. It really demonstrated how we're all weathers and people were really dressed for it after enduring(?) the beast from the east. We dug out our Nov 5th fire pan to keep people warm and used cold parents as a fire guard from straying children.

There's a chance of some snow or sleet but is currently looking like it will miss us. Lots of layers and waterproofs. We're never far from where we park so pack spare clothes in the car just in case. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2649029
