RAE ever heard of it ? RELATIVE AGE EFFECT This can be very prevalent in elite sports Something I’ve always been interested in since I seen WBA do the late birthday project trials years ago , ⚽️ and then reading Soccernomics . And the fact there seemed a clear trend in high level youth footballers in Academy coming from Early birthdays I had heard different stats so I’ve asked looked at 60 kids / players I know of played academy football / elite level grassroots ⚽️ As example a player born September v June / July / Aug can have massive physical/ mental / cognitive development over the latter in early years This will level out in later years but opportunities early can create better learning via academy and stretch the gap? Younger ones may be overlooked , discouraged give up ? Here are results Q1 Born Sept / Oct / Nov = 48% Q2 Born Dec / Jan / Feb = 17% Q3 Born March / April / May = 13% Q4 Born June / July / Aug = 22% So just on my findings 50% of players came from first 3 months 👶 My view is as foundation coaches just bear in mind with youngest you coach this will impact 👍🏻 If you have a friend or your child in Academy football please U7-14 PM DOB plus club or tag or share with someone who is 👍🏻 I would like to base it over 100 players ⚽️🏆 For those planning there next Child superstar December a good time to conceive ha 😂🙈 For those late UK birthday boys like me 28.8 Here are 3 late birthday England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 internationals 👌

Good luck to Louis Webb who has agreed to sign for Walsall FC U12 💥⚽️👍🏻 Louis left WBA end of last season and like lots of boys it hit him hard , He came to Ace on recommendation and we looked at his skill set recommended a position change worked with him and watched his confidence and mojo come back , We hope he does well at Walsall fc , All the best from Ace 💥⚽️🙏

Fantastic morning at little aces this morning. Almost 40 children attended their morning. 5 age groups in attendance. Mini aces Under 5s Under 6s 3 under 7 teams, Ajax, psg and Dortmund. Under 8s. Great effort from all players, some great skills, goals and smiles all round. 💥⚽️👍🏻
