12 Benefits of Kettlebell training... continued: (4-6 of 12) 4. Great for busy people, because of the metabolic nature of KB training you can get a super intense workout in 30-45min. Really no excuse to not be going to the gym as we can all find that much time in a day a few times a week. Try adding 3 30min KB workouts into your week and see how much benefit you can feel. 5. Great for Fat Loss, because its a strength based workout you build dense muscle mass (which burns fat all day from stores) and because of the big powerful full body workouts it becomes hugely metabolic. 6. Builds strength and muscle, I hate when KB's get tagged as good for conditioning as the are so much more. They are fantastic for putting on slabs of muscle or lots of strength and lean muscle. You just adjust the exercises and rep schemes to suit the goal. The reason they are so great for building muscle is the high levels of muscle tension required during the exercises as the weights are always away from the midline of the body. 12 Benefits of Kettlebell training: (1-3 of 12) 1. Unlike dumbbells and barbells because of the offset design kettle bells are unstable which recruits more of the stabilising muscles. The targeted muscles also get worked through a greater range of motion. 2. Combines "Cardio" and "Strength training", training is very specific and you will get good at what you practice but thats not always a good thing for real life. If you run on a treadmill, you will get better at... running on a treadmill. But will that help you sprint for a train carrying a heavy bag...! 3. You stand up! Possibly one of my personal favourite benefits are that 90% of any KB lifting is done on your 2 feet. This promotes balance, co-ordination, strengthens the feet and core. Also we spend all day sitting in chairs at work why in the world do you want to come to the gym and spend an hour sitting on a weights bench or a recumbent bike??!! Improve your posture and improve your performance which in turn leads to better results. Okay thats 3 of my 12 reasons to train with kettle bells, check back later this week for another 3 reasons. How to use a personal trainer to benefit you: Yes PT is not cheap, but it'a an investment in your health and your body. quite frankly there is nothing more important. We work with clients depending on needs, financial factors and work commitments. Below is how best to use us: * The most rewarding way is to book 2 training sessions per week especially if you are very new to training. As you progress this could be dropped down to 1 session per week and the other workouts you will need to do by yourself following the plan your trainer gives you to compliment your sessions. * If weekly is not an option then go for a session every other week or even once a month. You will still receive all of the above benefits. * Programming is something most trainers will offer, so each month you receive a new training plan for the month but you do not spend any time one to one with your trainer. * Group training is splitting the cost of the session with up to 4 friends, this can be great for added motivation too and massively reduces the cost per hour.
