Just to let you know I have TWO workshops coming up this month. I'm running a Cyanotype workshop on Saturday 23rd of April and another Beginners' Digital Photography Course on the 30th of April. So a historical process one week and up to the minute technology the next! Come along on the 23rd and make amazing cobalt blueprints with the fantastic cyanotype process. You will hand-coat watercolour paper with a light sensitive emulsion, arrange a collage of plants, leaves, feathers and other nice shapes and expose it to sunlight (hopefully!). If the sun isn't shining we'll make our own! The Beginners' Digital Photography course on the 30th will give you the confidence to take your camera off auto and start using it to create amazing images. I was going to enter the Calmac 2016 calendar competition, having been to Mull and Iona last year, until I realised they wanted to have worldwide rights to the entries, in perpetuity! So they just want a ready supply of images to use in their advertising, without paying for them. These are the images I would have submitted.

Breaking news!!!! I will be running a one day Beginners' Digital Photography Course on Saturday the 19th of March. If you have your camera set to AUTO all the time and don’t know your f-stop from your ISO then this is the course for you! You will learn about exposure control (f-stops, shutter speed and iso), focusing and metering modes, exposure compensation, image quality, lenses, white balance and composition. The morning is spent in the relaxed atmosphere of my loft studio learning all about the theory interspersed with practical demonstrations and activities, and then in the afternoon we will venture out into the garden or the village to practise your new skills. Don't miss this great opportunity to fulfil your potential. You will be amazed at how much you can improve your photography in just one day by coming on this course.
