The golf season came to a close last Friday at Middlesbrough Golf Club (Brass Castle) and what a Finale! It had it all, great course, good golf, rain, sunshine, big bus, small bus, drink and some very questionable Dancing! The Results are as follows: 1st Place - Jason Bagley (40 Points) 2nd Place - Don Blackwell (38 Points) 3rd Place - Paul Walkland (35 Points) 4th Place - John Mc (34 Points) Nearest the pin: Don Blackwell Longest Drive: Hadley Andrews Sweep: Paul Kav & John Mc Well done to you all. A big well done to Kevin English who was our overall winner of the 2016 season and our Captain for 2017. Thanks also to Don for leading us through 2016 as our Captain and a big thank you also to Tony for doing a great job with the handicaps & scores.

We had a great day at The Oaks on Friday and Somebody had a Very, Very good day!! Thank you to Jason Bagley for organising the day and it was a good turn out for Moose`s Memorial Trophy in memory of Mike. The Results are as follows:- In first place and very well deserved winner of Moose`s Memorial Trophy was Kevin English with a massive 47 Points and a Gross of +2!! The front nine being the most impressive with 7 Pars and 2 Birdie`s. 2nd Place: Andy Swales (42 Points) 3rd Place: Geoff Fawcett (41 Points) 4th Place: Simon Craven (40 Points) Nearest the Pin: Dan Thompson Longest Drive: Kevin English Finally the sweep was won by Stuart Winters & Kevin English Well done everyone & particularly Kev, there were some great scores. Ok our next day is Friday 16th September with our re-arranged visit to Middlesborough Golf Club (Brass Castle) which Kevin Almond is organising if you could let him know whether or not you can make it.

We had awsome weather and a fantastic day at Billingham Golf club last Friday! The Results are as follows: 1st Place John Dawson (41 Points) 2nd Place Don Blackwell (37 Points) 3rd Place Kevin Almond (36 Points ACB) 4th Place Geoff Fawcett (36 Points) Nearest the Pin: Geoff Fawcett & I think for the first time in the Society`s History, On the Longest drive unbelievably not one of us could hit the fairway!!! Perhaps the heat had started to get to us by then. sweep was won by Geoff Fawcett & Don Blackwell. Our next day is Friday 19th August at The Oaks

We had a great day at KP club last Friday, thank you to Don for organising the day and it was good to see you proudly parading the famous "Red Jacket" around the pubs of Pocklington & Easingwold! Our next day is the overnight trip on the 12th & 13th of June at Hollins Hall.
