e: enquiries@tjross.co.uk We supply 100% recycled wood briquettes made using the off cuts of hardwood and other wood along with the sawdust and chippings from our dust extraction system from our joinery manufacturing workshop. When combined this is a good mix of different sizes and shapes to make a well compressed briquette of high calorific value, with a high heat output, slow burn and little residue.
Kiln dried hardwoods such as Oak, Beech, Meranti, Walnut and Maple are shredded then compressed into briquettes and supplied in 10kg bags to be used as a highly efficient eco fuel for your school home or business.
Wood is a low carbon or carbon neutral fuel depending on how it's processed and dried. This means that there is little to no negative impact on our planet and therefore we should cherish this source of organic energy. By recycling our off cuts, we can dramatically reduce the carbon footprint of our business, virtually eliminating our need for use of landfill sites.
Many of the briquettes for sale by others are imported from Eastern Europe, or even further afield which cannot be promoted as green fuel if it's been shipped half way around the world to get to the UK. Our briquettes are made here in Fife in our Joinery Workshop with the end purpose of being burned in local stoves within our community and surrounding areas of Scotland.
