Stephen Garnett is an acclaimed national and regional award-winning photographer who has worked in the North of England for more than 25 years. Stephen Garnett is an acclaimed national and regional award-winning photographer. He has worked in the North of England and Yorkshire Dales area for more than 25 years, producing a distinct style of fresh, engaging and charismatic imagery over an array of photographic disciplines.
Stephen is best-known for his work as chief photographer for the Craven Herald newspaper, based in Skipton. During his many years with the Craven Herald, he became highly regarded both locally and nationally for consistently producing stand-out, quality images, brimming with imagination and creativity.
His outstanding photographs have earned him many awards and commendations. His images have been exhibited in prestigious London venues Somerset House, The National Theatre on South Bank and The Museum of London.
His published work has featured on the BBC News website, in The Guardian, Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail newspapers and the Sunday Times Magazine.
His work has also appeared in books, including Landscape Photographer of the Year “Take A View”, HRH Prince of Wales’ “A Vision of Britain” and Piers Morgan’s best-seller “The Insider”.
To Stephen, seeing the world through his camera is as natural as breathing. His camera is an extension of the mind’s eye and he has an uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time to capture a defining moment, whether it’s a dramatic landscape or a split second of sporting action.
