As our new year begins, we would like to wish all of our old year 6 children a fantastic first day at their new schools. Be yourselves, be brilliant and give it your best shot! Good luck in year 7!

I hope that you have all had a lovely summer holiday and are ready for the new school year. We are really looking forward to welcoming back our children and meeting our new starters. School is open on Wednesday at the usual time for all year groups. Enjoy the last day of the break and we will see you bright and early on Wednesday ready for the brilliant year ahead!

Oh! The Places You'll Go

We say a sad goodbye to our lovely Y6 children today. After an emotional Leavers' Assembly this morning we just want to say one more time how proud we are of each and every one of you. We wish you all the best for the future.

This week we say goodbye to Emma Rushton in her role as Chair of the PTFA. We want to thank Emma for everything that she has done for the school in recent years. Thank you Emma!

Dear Parents of Y6 children, As you know tomorrow is the end of an era as your child gets ready to leave Hallam Primary and make the transition to secondary school. I’m writing to ask you to look back over the past 7 years since they started school; of that very first day that you walked, hand in hand into their reception classroom with a host of mixed emotions. Think back to the sports days, nativities, trips, snow days and other memorable moments and look at how far your pride and joy has come! . Talk to them tonight about their memories, about all they have achieved and how they have grown in confidence. Encourage them to take advantage of everything that secondary school has to offer and remind them that while life isn’t always fair and there will undoubtedly be obstacles to overcome, they have the qualities and strengths that will stand them in good stead. Thank you for your help and support over the past few years. I hope you and your child look back fondly at their time at Hallam Primary and I wish you every success for the future.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Youth School Games Gold Award which rewards schools for their commitment to sport and PE. A huge thank you to Miss Byrne, Mr Fielding and all the staff who have contributed to this award. It is fantastic recognition of the improvements we have made in PE since 2015 and we are delighted and proud of the achievement!
